Bonding overlapping materials
Clean the surfaces and/or base to be bonded as necessary. Cut the Ampacoll A Tape black to the desired length and position it centrally over the overlap. To ensure longlasting adhesion, it is essential to observe the recommended application temperature, rub the adhesive tape down firmly and allow a setting time of at least 24 hours.
Bonding of penetrations
When taping over penetrations such as outlet vents, etc., place the Ampacoll A Tape black overlapping onto the penetration and rub down to fix firmly.
Special instructions
For the adhesive tape to function, counter battening is necessary to safeguard subsequent work and to avoid possible weather damage (e.g. wind suction and pressure). We recommend that the façade lining is covered as quickly as possible. However, the lining must be installed no later than the end of the permitted natural weathering period. The width of the joint can be up to 5 cm. The individual façade lining elements must be at least the same width. Max. 10 % adhesive tape coverage of area (for fire behaviour: A2-s1, d0).
